Stéphane Frédéric Hessel, né le 20 octobre 1917 à Berlin, est un diplomate et militant politique français. Combattant de la France libre pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, puis déporté à Buchenwald, il a été Secrétaire de la Commission ayant élaboré à l'ONU la Déclaration universelle des droits de l'homme. Il est également écrivain et poète.

Un nouveau roman posthume de Roberto Bolaño

Sept ans après le décés de Roberto Bolaño, sa maison d´édition espagnole Anagrama vient de publier un nouveau roman posthume, intitulé Los sinsabores del verdadero policía (Les désagréments du vrai policier). Une oeuvre considérée par son éditeur et ami Jorge Herralde, comme celle “du grand Bolaño de la maturité et du jeune Bolaño poète”.

Selon la veuve de l´écrivain Carolina López qui a découvert le manuscrit, il s´agit "d'un roman complet de 283 pages, classé dans sept dossiers, dont cinq d´entre eux se trouvaient sur la table de travail de l'auteur".

L'écrivain qui a commencé à travailler sur ce texte dans les années 80 l'a complété jusqu'à sa mort en 2003, a indiqué Anagrama. On y retrouve les trames d'autres romans de Bolaño, tous parus chez Christian Bourgois, comme Étoile distante (2002), Appels téléphoniques (2004), Les détectives sauvages (2006) et 2666 (2008). Ainsi que certains de ses personages fetiches dont l´exilé chilien Amalfitano, sa fille Rosa et l´écrivain français Arcimboldi.

En février prochain, son éditeur français publiera Entre parenthèses, un recueil de textes de Bolaño (conférences, récits autobiographiques etc.) écrits entre 1998 et 2003, pendant les cinq denières années de sa vie. L´éditeur rééditera également Anvers, un de ses romans policiers paru en France en 2004. La version Folio de 2666, son premier roman posthume sera disponible chez Gallimard en mars, deux ans après sa parution chez Bourgois.

Né en 1953 à Santiago du Chili, Bolaño a fui la dictature militaire en 1974. Il a reçu le National Book Critics Circle 2008 pour 2666.
